Engagement shoot at Westonbirt Aboretum

Wandering Through Westonbirt

Tucked away in the Cotswolds, Westonbirt Arboretum is known for its breathtaking seasonal displays, and spring is no exception. As we explored the grounds, nature offered the perfect backdrop — light filtering softly through budding leaves, the forest floor blanketed with fresh green growth, and winding trails that seemed to lead us to quiet, unexpected corners of peace.

Kelly and Sasha told me from the start that they weren’t too comfortable in front of a camera — which, to be honest, is exactly what most of my couples say. But as we wandered deeper into the arboretum, something shifted. A little laughter, a gentle hand-hold, a look that said more than words ever could — and suddenly, they weren’t posing. They were just being themselves.

Moments, Not Poses

What I loved most about this session was how naturally it all unfolded. There were no stiff instructions or awkward poses — just two people enjoying the stillness, walking side by side, occasionally stopping for a hug or an impromptu dance in the woods. It’s these unguarded, in-between moments that I always look for — the real story of who you are, not the version you think a camera wants.

Their Story, Framed by Nature

The images we captured at Westonbirt are a celebration of connection. Every photo reflects a part of Kelly and Sasha’s relationship — quiet, steady, full of care. With the soft colours of spring as our canvas, we created a timeless glimpse into a love that’s real, grounded, and ready for whatever comes next.

Thinking of Booking an Engagement Session?

If you’re dreaming of your own engagement session — something relaxed, honest, and full of meaning — I’d love to help tell your story. Whether you love Westonbirt for its wild charm or have another place in mind that feels like home, I’ll be there with camera in hand, ready to capture it all.

As part of my wedding photography packages, I offer complimentary engagement shoots to couples who are still deciding if I’m the right fit. It’s a brilliant way to get a feel for the experience, shake off any nerves, and see how fun and easy it can be to get photos that feel like you.
