Old Bell Malmesbury wedding photographer.
800 years of parties.
Natural, documentary wedding photography and film at The Old Bell Hotel in Malmesbury, right next to the abbey on the southern edge of the Cotswolds.
England's oldest hotel,
and still great fun.
The Old Bell dates back to around 1220, when it was built as a guest house for Malmesbury Abbey, and it's got a good claim to be the oldest hotel in England. It's Grade I listed and sits right beside the abbey ruins in the middle of town.
You can get married in the cosy library or the Garden Room, then spill out into the garden. There are rooms upstairs for guests, and the town and abbey are right on the doorstep for photos.

The garden
A walled garden with old stone all around. Great for the ceremony, drinks and a big group shot.
The building
Old stone, ivy, steps and archways. Every corner has a backdrop and you don't have to go far.
The feel
Intimate and full of character. Guests mingle, kids run about and it feels like a big family party.

Your day, not a photoshoot.
Most of your gallery will be real moments: the nerves, the laughs, the tears in the front row and the chaos on the dancefloor. I'll take you away for a short portrait session when the light is good, then hand you back to your guests.
