Bride and groom kissing by an arched door at Sudbury House, Faringdon
Real weddings · Faringdon, Oxfordshire

Sudbury House wedding photographer.
Regency house, relaxed day.

Natural, documentary wedding photography at Sudbury House in Faringdon, on the edge of the Cotswolds. Real moments, easy group photos and golden hour in the gardens.

The venue

A Regency house with
room to breathe.

Sudbury House sits in the market town of Faringdon, on the Oxfordshire edge of the Cotswolds, roughly halfway between Oxford and Swindon. It's a Regency house brought right up to date, with nine acres of landscaped gardens around it.

That mix of old stone and open lawns makes it easy to move between the ceremony, drinks and portraits without the day ever feeling rushed. I keep out of the way, and that leaves me free to catch the genuine, unplanned moments that make your gallery.

Photographer's notes

What it's like to shoot here.

01

The stone

Old stone walls and arched doorways give you characterful backdrops for portraits without dragging you away from your guests.

02

The gardens

Nine acres of landscaped grounds means plenty of room for drinks, groups and golden hour, even with a big guest list.

03

The feel

Relaxed enough for couples who want to do it their way, from classic and elegant to full-on alternative.

How I work

Your day, not a photoshoot.

Most of your gallery will be real moments: the nerves, the laughs, the tears in the front row and the chaos on the dancefloor. I'll take you away for a short portrait session when the light is good, then hand you back to your guests.

Good to know

Sudbury House wedding questions.

Have you photographed weddings at Sudbury House?

Yes, including Mr & Mrs Chapman's wedding on this page, so I already know where the light is best, where groups work well and how the day usually flows.

Do you charge travel to Sudbury House?

No. There are no travel fees anywhere in England and Wales, so the price on my website is the price you pay.

How far ahead should we book?

Most couples book 12 to 18 months out, and Saturdays from May to September go first. Midweek and winter dates are often available at shorter notice, so it's always worth asking.

Can you film our wedding as well?

Yes. The Storyteller package covers photos and a highlight film, or you can add a highlight film to shorter days. Same documentary style, just me working quietly with a couple of cameras.
