Bride and groom laughing with family on the lawn at Pinglestone Barn
Real weddings · Old Alresford, Hampshire

Pinglestone Barn wedding photographer.
A barn in the vines.

Natural, documentary wedding photography and film at Pinglestone Barn, a Grade II listed barn in a Hampshire vineyard near Alresford and Winchester.

The venue

A tithe barn
in a sparkling wine vineyard.

Pinglestone Barn sits on a farm by the River Arle in Old Alresford, surrounded by the vines of a sparkling wine vineyard. It's an exclusive-hire, Grade II listed barn with a stage, a bar and room for around 150.

It's fifteen minutes from Winchester and under an hour from London by train. A lot of couples marry at a church nearby, then head to the barn for drinks under the fairy lights and a big party.

Photographer's notes

What it's like to shoot here.

01

The vineyard

Rows of vines and open fields right outside. Golden hour here is ridiculous.

02

The barn

Huge beams, warm lights and a proper dancefloor. Brilliant for the speeches and the party.

03

The feel

Rustic, relaxed and a bit of a festival vibe. Everyone's outside on the grass until the sun goes.

How I work

Your day, not a photoshoot.

Most of your gallery will be real moments: the nerves, the laughs, the tears in the front row and the chaos on the dancefloor. I'll take you away for a short portrait session when the light is good, then hand you back to your guests.
