Sasha and Kelly got married on a bright July day at Kingston Bagpuize House near Abingdon. A village church ceremony, a vintage car, a lawn full of guests in front of that red-brick Georgian house, and a marquee dance floor that stayed busy late into the evening. It was one of those days that just flowed, and all I had to do was keep up.

A ceremony in the village church
The ceremony was in the village church: old stone, stained glass and every pew full. I kept to the edges and let it all play out, which is how you get the little ones peeking over the pews and all the bits nobody was posing for.

A vintage car and drinks on the lawn
Back at the house, the vintage car pulled up out front and everyone spilled out onto the lawn. The front lawn at Kingston Bagpuize is made for one big group photo, so we got everyone in one go and then left them to enjoy the drinks.

A proper marquee party
The marquee sits right by the gardens, so the evening rolled straight from dinner into dancing. Grandparents, kids, friends, the lot. Exactly what a wedding dance floor should look like.

Getting married at Kingston Bagpuize House?
It is a beautiful, relaxed venue for documentary photos. You get the whole house to yourselves, gardens that look gorgeous in summer light, and the village church close by if you want a church ceremony. Plan your big group photo on the front lawn, because it fits absolutely everyone.
